Description:	This article addresses the possibility and the limits of transgression (understood this term in a literary sense) when translating Children’s and Young People’s Literature. The emphasis is placed on the translator’s autonomy with regard to everything that is not exclusively inherent and derived from the text itself, and in the need to restate the professional independence of the translator fromwhichever instances other than the text itself and its expressive needs. El presente artículo aborda la posibilidad y los límites de la transgresión (entendido el término en un sentido literario) al traducir Literatura Infantil y Juvenil. Se pone el énfasis en la autonomía del traductor respecto a todo aquello que no sea exclusivamente propio y derivado del texto mismo, y en la necesidad de reafirmar la independencia profesional del traductor respecto de cualesquiera instancias que no sean el texto mismo y sus necesidades expresivas.
