Description: Reception: August 21, 2016     Accepted: September 22, 2016     Several fallacies belonging to the standard list were formulated by Aristotle. There are, however, two fallacies from his list among the ones that disappeared from the lists that are usually exposed in contemporary textbooks. Medieval logicians used to call them fallacies of composition and division or fallacies of the divided sense and of the composed sense. I will examine the structure of such fallacies and will show how these differ from the actual fallacies of composition and division.
