Description:	Technology advances progressively at a faster speed, promoting development in practically all areas of human knowledge. In the forestry field, technology has come to lighten and make field work more efficient. The use of unmanned aerial vehicles is having a favorable impact on the studies in the estructure of plant communities, inventory development and forest management, among other aspects. It is necessary to integrate technologies for information and analysis of massive data, focused on forest systems to make proposals for the use, conservation and recovery of timber areas. In our country, these technologies are already being used, it is necessary to train professionals who have all the skills to handle them. Therefore, it is proposed to integrate this knowledge in a subject of the curriculum of the study plans of the secondary and higher levels of education. The proposal is approached from a practical point of view, with the use of one of the most accessible drones on the market. The Mavic 2 Pro DJL meets the minimum necessary to start data collection, essential for Forestry 4.0. The experience raised may be useful for students and professionals. La tecnología avanza progresivamente a mayor velocidad, impulsando el desarrollo prácticamente en todas las áreas del conocimiento humano. En el ámbito forestal, la tecnología ha venido a aligerar y eficientizar el trabajo en campo. El uso de vehículos aéreos no tripulados, están impactando favorablemente en estudios de estructura de comunidades vegetales, desarrollo de inventarios y ordenamiento forestal, entre otros aspectos. Es necesario integrar las tecnologías para la información y análisis de datos masivos, enfocados en sistemas forestales para hacer propuestas de aprovechamiento, conservación y recuperación de superficies maderables. En nuestro país, ya están siendo utilizadas estas tecnologías, es necesario formar profesionistas que tengan todas las capacidades para manejarlas. Por lo anterior, se propone integrar esos conocimientos en una materia de la currícula de los planes de estudio del nivel medio superior y superior. La propuesta se aborda desde un punto de vista práctico, con la utilización de uno de los drones más accesibles en el mercado. El Mavic 2 Pro DJL cumple con lo mínimo necesario para iniciar la toma de datos, indispensables para la Silvicultura 4.0. La experiencia planteada podrá ser de utilidad para estudiantes y profesionales.
