Description:	The aim of this study presented in this article is to identify the rhetorical figures that are most commonly used in a corpus of 100 sports notes on the electronic version of four Mexican newspapers. In order to do so, first the rhetorical figures of each sports note are identified and then they are classified and counted. Finally, the results of this study are compared with those of other research based on oral corpus, i.e., Quintero Ramírez (2013) and Quintero Ramírez et al. (2015). Our results show that metonymy is the most common rhetorical figure, followed by metaphor; whereas hyperbole and simile are the least used figures. En el presente artículo examinamos las figuras retóricas que se producen con mayor frecuencia en una selección de 100 notas deportivas obtenidas de la versión electrónica de cuatro diarios mexicanos. Para ello, procedimos a identificar las figuras retóricas de cada una de las notas, para posteriormente clasificarlas y cuantificarlas; por último, nos propusimos comparar nuestros resultados con los arrojados por otros estudios, a saber, el de Quintero Ramírez (2013) y Quintero Ramírez, Valenzuela Indart y Castañeda Hernández (2015), donde se examinan figuras retóricas con corpus de crónicas orales. Nuestros resultados muestran que la metonimia es, por mucho, la figura más frecuente, seguida de la metáfora; mienras que la hipérbole y el símil resultan figuras poco empleadas por los periodistas deportivos.
