| Description: | Both nazism and the most recent military regime in Argentina required, as all dictatorships do, the complicity of a vast part of their societies. Historiography and literature have exposed the different forms in which this complicity has acted. This essay makes a brief journey through some of the literary approaches to this theme by taking two novels as axis: Carlos Gamerro’s El secreto y las voces for the Argentinian case and Hermann Broch’s El Maleficio for the German. Tanto el nazismo como el más reciente régimen militar argentino requirieron, como toda dictadura, de la complicidad, activa y pasiva, de buena parte de sus respectivas sociedades. La historiografía y la literatura han ido dando cuenta de las diversas formas que puede asumir esta complicidad. Este texto pretende hacer un breve recorrido en torno a algunas aproximaciones literarias sobre este tema, tomando como ejes dos novelas claves al respecto: El secreto y las voces de Carlos Gamerro para el caso argentino, y El maleficio, de Hermann Broch, para el caso alemán. |
