Description:	The objective of this research is to determine, based on real data, the relationship between social class, gender, and the variation of mid vowels in Spanish in the Toluca Valley Region. The subjects of the study were speakers with a university degree and between 20 and 30 years of age. Throughout this research the acoustic analysis conducted on this variety of Spanish is presented, resulting in the existence of five variants for /e/ and three for /o/. Following the binomial statistical up and down test, we have been able to establish a correlation between social class and gender, with elision and vowel weakening El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar, con base en datos de uso real, la relación entre la clase social, el género y la variación de las vocales medias en el español del Valle de Toluca, en hablantes de 20 a 30 años con nivel estudios de licenciatura, es decir, superior. A lo largo de esta investigación se presentan los análisis acústicos realizados en esta variedad del español, obteniendo como resultado la existencia de cinco variantes para /e/ y tres para /o/. Tras el estudio estadístico binomial de subida y bajada (up and down) se ha logrado establecer una correlación entre la clase social y el género con la elisión y el debilitamiento vocálico.
