Description:	The objective of this study is to explain how the Crucitas race emerged and was stablished. To understand how this athletic event developed, I analyze the main patterns – built elements – that have somehow modified the social dynamics of this race. I, likewise, briefly explain how the social context – the situation – has changed in Jalisco in the last 50 years. El objetivo de este estudio es explicar cómo la carrera de las Crucitas surgió y se ha establecido. Para entender de qué forma se ha desarrollado este evento atlético, se analizarán los principales patrones – elementos construidos – que de alguna manera han modificado la dinámica social de esta carrera. De igual forma, se explicará brevemente cómo se ha modificado el contexto social – la situación – en Jalisco en los últimos 50 años.
