Description:	The objective of the study is to analyze how incivilities and social disorder are a principle that helps explain the increase in drug dealing and homicidal violence in the municipality of Tijuana. As it is a topic little addressed, the methodology is exploratory and explanatory and takes as a reference the theory of incivilities and social disorder. The results show that drug dealing and homicidal violence have increased along with urban decay and apathy on the part of municipal authorities to face the problem, leaving aside city management, co-responsibility and social cohesion as an essential strategy to deal with crime. For this reason, the contributions of the study are useful for the design of public policies in the fight against crime and crime prevention. El objetivo del estudio es analizar como las incivilidades y el desorden social son un principio que ayuda a explicar el incremento del narcomenudeo y la violencia homicida en el municipio de Tijuana. Al ser un tema poco abordado, la metodología es exploratoria y explicativa y toma como referencia la teoría de las incivilidades y el desorden social. Los resultados arrojan que el narcomenudeo y la violencia homicida ha incrementado a la par del decaimiento urbano y de la apatía por parte de las autoridades municipales para afrontar el problema, dejando de lado la gestión de la ciudad, la corresponsabilidad y cohesión social como estrategia esencial para hacer frente a la criminalidad. De ahí que los aportes del estudio sean de utilidad para el diseño de políticas públicas en materia de combate a la criminalidad y la prevención del delito.
