Description:	This paper aims to determine the effects of economic growth on inequality and poverty in the municipalities of the state of Nayarit, Mexico, in the period 1990-2010. The municipal evolution of each one of the variables is analyzed using inferential statistics, and the type of relationship between them is determined. Through linear regressions, its intercausality is established. The conclusion is that there is an inverse relationship between economic growth and the three types of income poverty, and a direct relationship between the first (represented by expansion rates of gross domestic product per capita) and income inequality. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar los efectos del crecimiento económico sobre la desigualdad y la pobreza en los municipios del estado de Nayarit, México, en el periodo 1990-2010. Se analiza la evolución municipal de cada una de las variables utilizando la estadística inferencial, y se determina el tipo de relación entre ellas. Mediante regresiones lineales, se establece su intercausalidad. Se concluye que existe una relación inversa entre el crecimiento económico y los tres tipos de pobreza de ingresos, y una relación directa entre el primero (representado por tasas de expansión del producto interno bruto per cápita) y la desigualdad de la renta.
