Emotion in Aristotle is a subject that is rarely discussed. It is included in his work in order to exhort to live a virtuous life, especially in terms of intellectual virtues. Theoretical emotionality is due to reason, which inspires deep passions in mankind towards the desire of knowing, and makes people lovers of truth. The framework in which all of this appears is of a metaphysical and ethical kind, for it enables to live wisely once happiness in acquired. |
