Description:	Reception: April 4, 2017         Accepted: June 12, 2017               My aim here is to give an adequate definition of counterargument, establishing a suitable typology of counterarguments grounded on Toulmin’s model. This typology is based on a double criteria: the attacked element (premises, claim or warrant), and the force or strength of the attack as expressed by the appropriate argumentative connector. The result is a more systematic classification of counterarguments, based on linguistic evidences. Recepción: 4 de abril de 2017         Aceptación: 12 de junio de 2017               Este artículo pretende dar una definición adecuada de contraargumento y establecer una tipología de los contraargumentos basada en el modelo de Toulmin. Esa tipología se basa en un doble criterio: el elemento atacado (premisas, conclusión o garantía) y la fuerza de la oposición, que puede expresarse usando un conector argumentativo apropiado. El resultado es una clasificación más sistemática de los contraargumentos basada en evidencias lingüísticas.
