Description:	This research will try to tackle and analyze, in the framework of the intermediate July 2009 electoral process in Mexico, the causes, motivations and the construction, of what was called the “void vote movement”, focusing on the State of Jalisco. In order to achieve the above, I contextualize briefly both the social and the political environment in the national ambit, which originated the idea of voiding the vote; I will also dwell on the construction of said movement. Likewise, I use qualitative and quantitative tools to figure out the results obtained in the ballots and therefore, the impact the voiding movement had. Finally, I present the face of the average void voter and reflect upon the present and future of the movement. Esta investigación intentará abordar y analizar, en el marco del proceso electoral intermedio de 2009 en México, las causas, motivaciones y construcción, de lo que se denominó como “movimiento del voto nulo”, enfocándome en el estado de Jalisco. Para lograr lo anterior, contextualizo de manera breve tanto el ambiente social como el político een el ámbito nacional que originó la promoción de anular el voto; también me detendré en la construcción de dicho movimiento. Asimismo, utilizo herramientas cualitativas y cuantitativas para dilucidar el resultado obtenido en las urnas y, por ende, el impacto del movimiento anulista. Finalmente, exhibo el rostro promedio del anulista y reflexiono sobre el presente y el futuro del movimiento.
