Description:	Scientific research is capital for the production of goods with high technological content. However, R&D investment in Mexico has met significant challenges. In this sense, participation by public and private sectors is paramount to reach acceptable levels. This chapter aims to analyze recent experiences in public-private collaboration in research financing. To achieve this, the legal and institutional framework components are described for the operation of public-private associations (PPAs); finance and administrative mechanism are examined which allow this framework to exist, as well as PPA implementation in agro-industrial projects. La investigación científica es fundamental para la producción de bienes con alto contenido tecnológico. Sin embargo, la inversión en ciencia y tecnología en México ha encontrado desafíos significativos. En este sentido, la participación tanto del sector público como del privado es vital para aumentar dicha inversión. Este documento tiene como objetivo analizar la experiencia reciente de la colaboración público-privada en el financiamiento de la investigación. Para ello, se describen los componentes del marco legal e institucional de la operación de asociaciones públicos privadas (app); se examinan los mecanismos financieros y administrativos que viabilizan este marco, y por último, se analiza la implementación de app en proyectos de innovación agroindustrial.
