| Description: | The objective of this article is to analyze the relevant strategic litigation cases in which the Autonomous University of Baja California was party: the bighorn sheep case (1998) and the non-admitted aspirants cases (2008-2016), in order to stablish its transcendence.

In the present work it is concluded that social and political support is the main factor, although not the only one, for success in strategic litigation. El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar los casos relevantes de litigio estratégico en los que fue parte la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California: el caso del borrego cimarrón (1998) y los casos de aspirantes no admitidos (2008-2016), a fin de determinar su trascendencia. Se han seguido la metodología histórica y la técnica documental. Esta obra es original, por ser la primera en su tema específico. En el presente trabajo se concluye que el apoyo social y político es el factor principal, aunque no único, para el éxito del litigio estratégico. |
