Description:	The convergences and divergences of the narrative of the web-based series in relation with the television practices are explored. Based on the analysis of the most outstanding productions of the four most prolific countries in South America, the text reviews the characteristics of an increasingly dynamic format in a region moving towards the completion of its transition to the digital terrestrial television. Se exploran las convergencias y divergencias de la narrativa de las series web en relación con las prácticas televisivas. A partir del análisis de las producciones más destacadas de los cuatro países más prolíficos de Sudamérica, el texto reseña las características de un formato cada vez más dinámico en una región que va camino a completar la transición hacia la televisión digital terrestre.
