| Description: | The article deals with the analysis of the relations between knowledge and power of representation, which is defined here as the one power that, is able to build and configure visibility and sense of reality, stabilizing some senses on the social world and its operation. I want to locate the discussion in the context of neoliberalism / neo–conservatism, under the assumption that these forms sharpen the dispute over the "ownership" of interpretive space. Through two major analyzers (authoritarian representations and therapeutic representations), we discuss some changes in the status of knowledge and forms of legitimacy and the central role of various actors in this play: media communication, schools, and cultural industries, among others. El artículo aborda el análisis de las relaciones entre saber(es) y poder(es) de representación, esto es, aquel poder que es capaz de construir y configurar visibilidad y sentido sobre la realidad, estabilizando ciertos sentidos sociales sobre el mundo y su funcionamiento. Se busca ubicar la discusión en el contexto del neoliberalismo/neoconservadurismo, bajo el supuesto de que tal binomio agudiza la disputa por la apropiación del espacio interpretativo. A través de dos analizadores principales (el de las representaciones autoritarias y el de las terapéuticas), se discuten y marcan algunos cambios en el estatuto de los saberes y sus formas de legitimación, y el papel que en esto juegan varios actores centrales como los medios de comunicación, la escuela, las industrias culturales, etc. |
