Description:	The current project analyzes the images, representations and concepts of motherhood and childhood that circulated in El Informador, this being understood as a discursive body, aware itself of the emergence of social constructions. The motivation for research is the hypothesis that the constructions of motherhood and childhood played a central role within the revolutionary process of reconstruction of the new mexican state. Likewise, the interest centers upon a reconstruction of local experience in relation to a national debate concerning the discursive order of genre that established certain guidelines of behavior for women and their children, drawing from the daily newspaper as provider of source material open to interpretation. El presente trabajo analiza las imágenes, representaciones y concepciones de maternidad e infancia que circularon en El Informador, cuerpo discursivo que da cuenta de la emergencia de construcciones sociales. La hipótesis que motivó la investigación fue que las construcciones de maternidad e infancia jugaron un papel central dentro del proceso revolucionario de reconstrucción del nuevo Estado mexicano. Asimismo, el interés se centra en reconstruir la experiencia local en relación con el debate nacional en torno al orden discursivo de género que establecía ciertas pautas de comportamiento para mujeres y sus hijos, y sobre el cual el diario tapatío da pistas para su interpretación.
