| Description: | One of the biggest challenges facing interpersonal communication in public health is the growth of linguistic and cultural diversity of the populations it serves. This review seeks to make sense of and to appreciate the magnitude of the challenge that attends a population with great ethno–linguistic diversity, native or migrant, in health services, with the final objective to furnish information and to appraise the diverse legal aspects, strategies, resources, and good practices with which it is faced in Mexico, Spain, and the United States. Uno de los grandes retos al que se enfrenta la comunicación interpersonal en la salud pública es el incremento de la diversidad lingüística y cultural de las poblaciones que atiende. Esta revisión busca sensibilizar y apreciar la magnitud del reto que supone atender a una población con gran diversidad etnolingüística autóctona o emigrante por los servicios de salud. El objetivo principal es proporcionar información y valorar los diversos marcos legales, estrategias, recursos y buenas prácticas con que se está afrontando en México, España y Estados Unidos. |
