| Description: | Las hormigas cosecheras se caracterizan por presentar las espinas del propodeo bien desarrolladas, usualmente site dientes en las mandibulas, sus ojos pequeños no convexos, parte ventral de la cabeza comúnmente con un grupo de sedas rectas dirigidas hacia abajo (psamorfa), arrugas en la cabeza casi rectas y profundas, longitud del cuerpo de más de ocho mm, color rojo o anaranjado uniforme en todo el cuerpo. |
