dc.descriptionThe degradation of the environment and the defense of the environment are two situations that can endanger the integrity of people. Two situations that can force a person to leave the place where they reside in order to find a safe place. But, can a person request refuge for these two situations? The answer to this question focuses the development of this paper, therefore, from a legal point of view and from the comparative analysis of both situations related to the environment, on the one hand, the main existing obstacles to recognizing refugee status in these two areas are analyzed here and, on the other hand, the possibilities, alternatives and changes that can be built from the interpretation of the asylum and refugee regulation are developed, taking as reference national and international standards in force in Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Chile.en-US
dc.descriptionLa degradación del medio ambiente y la defensa del medio ambiente son dos situaciones que pueden poner en peligro la integridad de las personas. Dos situaciones que pueden obligar a una persona a abandonar el lugar en el que reside para buscar un lugar seguro. Pero ¿por esas situaciones se puede pedir y otorgar refugio? La respuesta de esta pregunta centra el desarrollo de este artículo, por lo que, desde una mirada jurídica y a partir del análisis comparado de ambas situaciones vinculadas con el medio ambiente, por una parte, se analizan los principales obstáculos existentes para reconocer el estatus de persona refugiada en esos dos ámbitos y, por otra parte, se desarrollan las posibilidades, alternativas y cambios que se pueden construir a partir de la interpretación de la regulación del asilo y refugio, teniendo como referencia normas nacionales e internacionales vigentes en Colombia, España, México y Chile.      es-ES
