dc.descriptionIn this article, the role played by women within Cuban society is analyzed, starting from the establishment in power of the July 26 revolutionary movement and the economic, social and political measures implemented by the Revolutionary Government. These were aimed at raising the educational levels and the incorporation into society of the classes, until that moment, marginalized, which in the specific case of women led to an empowerment that modified their status as a social subject within Cuban society.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el presente artículo, se analiza el papel desempeñado por la mujer dentro de la sociedad cubana, a partir de la instauración en el poder del movimiento revolucionario 26 de Julio y las medidas económicas, sociales y políticas implementadas por el Gobierno Revolucionario. Éstas fueron dirigidas a elevar los niveles educacionales y de incorporación a la sociedad de las clases, hasta ese momento, marginadas, lo que hizo en el caso específico de las mujeres un empoderamiento que modificó su estatus como sujeto social dentro de la sociedad cubana.es-ES
