| Description: | On June 27th, the 300th anniversary of Juan Jacobo Rousseau’s birth was celebrated. Attacked by both conservatives and liberals from the academy, they have pointed at his theory of the social contract as the origin of what they call totalitarian democracy and political messianism, which is at present, nevertheless, the touchstone for rebuilding the State and democracy in crisis. El 27 de junio de 2012 se cumplieron 300 años del natalicio de Juan Jacobo Rousseau. Atacado por conservadores y liberales desde la academia, han señalado a su teoría del pacto social como el origen de lo que llaman la democracia totalitaria y el mesianismo político, la cual es hoy sin embargo piedra de toque para la reconstrucción del Estado y la democracia en crisis. |
