| Description: | La balanza comercial en el segundo semestre del año anterior presentó déficit; sin embargo durante los primeros meses de ‘989 se modificó la tendencia. El saldo acumulado en 1988 fue inferior al de 1987, lo cual se debió principalmente a la baja en ios precios del petróleo (-26,8 por ciento) y al aumento considerable en las importaciones de bienes de uso intermedio, que representaron el 69.1 por ciento del total de compras al exterior. Las exportaciones no petroleras se incrementaron 17.7 por ciento; y las manufactureras en especial crecieron 18.2 por ciento, estas últimas fueron 85 por ciento mayores que las petroleras. |
