dc.description	Se presenta una revisión de la presencia de los alacranes en la filatelia mundial. Se revisaron diversos documentos especializados, aunado a ello se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva en internet con el fin de localizar sellos con imágenes alusivas de estos arácnidos. Se encontraron 47 sellos postales que presentan imágenes de 31 especies de Scorpiones emitidos por 35 países, territorios o instituciones. Históricamente, el primer sello fue emitido en 1964 por Togo. Finalmente se analiza los posibles aspectos por los que un país ocupa una especie de alacrán como la imagen principal de un sello postal.	es-ES
