dc.descriptionScaptolenus paltingi new species is described from the Sierra Aconchi and Sierra la Púrica, Sonora, Mexico. This species is the first of the genus reported from Sonora and only the second species from the Sonora-Arizona Madrean Sky Islands. A key to the vagans-group of species and a checklist of species the United States and northern Mexico are provided.es-ES
